Last week Facebook rolled out an update to its Messenger app. The biggest change to the app is the ability to send and receive voicemails directly from your phone without using the phone company or any other service.
To send a voicemail, first choose your recipient. Then click the compose button as you would for a text-based message, just tap the “+” button:
The option to “Record Voice” will appear to the right of the “Attach a Photo” and “Camera” icons:
You can then hold down the red record button and speak your message:
Your message will look like this in your Messenger timeline:
Your recipient can then click on the voicemail link and hear your message.
